Lee Harbert: Career In Finance



Lee Harbert attended the University of Michigan and earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting. He was enrolled in the prestigious Stephen M. Ross School of Business. After graduation, Lee Harbert embarked on a successful career in the field of finance. Lee Harbert has held many important and challenging positions throughout the years.

Lee Harbert started his career working as an Assistant Treasurer for Advance Mortgage Corporation located in Southfield, Michigan. He was responsible for managing the Hazard Insurance Department. After a short time spent working in Michigan, Lee Harbert decided to accept a position on the West Coast. His decision to become a Vice President with Crocker National Bank brought him to San Francisco, where he continues to live and work. At Crocker National Bank, Lee Harbert was responsible for Capital Market Investments for the twelfth largest commercial bank in the United States. Lee Harbert was promoted seven times in six years during his tenure at Crocker National Bank.

Lee Harbert likes to explore new challenges, that is why his next position was with a start-up company called Midland Montague. Lee Harbert served as the Director of Operations and helped the company to realize a $5 million first year profit. Lee Harbert was employed by Bank of America as a Senior Vice President when Bank of America was the second largest commercial bank in the nation. Lee Harbert has acted as a Senior Vice President for Fidelity Investments. In this position his main responsibility was managing the Plan Sponsor and Participant Services organization which advises members of the Education and Health Care sectors on retirement plan solutions. Lee Harbert has worked for Barclays Global Investors as a Managing Director. In this position Lee Harbert was responsible for direct sales, relationship management, and sales support. Barclays Global Investors is a $700 million revenue asset management firm.
